Position: Coordinator – Social Media/Communications Specialist (Bilingual) Location: Ottawa Salary: $46.23 per hour following training Schedule: 37.5 hours/week; regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. / 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Coordinator will be responsible for the administration and management of several federal government social media accounts and newsroom applications. Keeping up to date with trends and understanding communications policies, the successful candidate can work on projects relating to social media account management and can ensure they are completed appropriately and within a timely manner. Other duties may include: managing client requests, creating a wide variety of communication reports (PowerPoint presentation, briefing notes, project plans, instructional documentation, etc.) and troubleshooting social media management tools. Core Duties: - Assist with the development, implementation and ongoing activities or projects in a designated area of specialization - Administer the social media accounts - Draft internal communications - Provide timely and efficient customer service to internal clients - Analyze data and compile reports and recommendations - Manage his/her own workload - Analyze situations, make appropriate decisions and take necessary action - Communicate with and support peers, project members and other work units and groups - Assist team members as they perform their tasks ensuring understanding and following and promoting of project-specific mandates and processes - Participate in the planning of projects and project activities - Maintain communication with direct supervisor, employer, team leaders and colleagues - Handle sensitive or confidential information in a discreet and appropriate fashion - Promote adherence to organization policies and procedures - Proactively keep up-to-date with other related groups and their activities Mandatory Requirements: - Valid Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance - Excellent bilingual communication skills (English/French – both written and spoken) - Ability to work effectively within a team environment - Strong writing abilities - Experience with social media tools - Knowledge of Hootsuite, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest - Experience working with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) - Technical aptitude with the ability to learn new skills - Strong analytical skills Please send your resume in Word format to Stefania Papoulis at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org .
