The Logistics Coordinator is key to our success in manufacturing and delivering our solutions

Logistics functions:

  • Coordinate logistics operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness objectives;
  • Coordinate and arrange local pickup/deliveries in support of manufacturing activities;
  • Analyze all aspects of company logistics to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting finished goods and production supplies;
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers;
  • Establish and monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems;
  • Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification and performance evaluation, ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures;
  • Negotiate transportation rates or services;
  • Monitor product import or export processes to ensure up-to-date compliance with regulatory or legal requirements;
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports and customer issues.

Material Shipping functions:

  • Coordinate the shipping process to achieve and sustain correctness and timeliness of shipping orders;
  • Implement and maintain up-to-date and efficient shipping policies and Standard Operating Procedures, monitor and audit shipping personnel accordingly;
  • Prepare finished goods for shipping including packaging, import/export and shipping documentation;
  • Organize and manage the shipping order’s storage at assigned places;
  • Implement and maintain 5S in all applicable areas;

You qualify for this role if you have

  • Minimum High School diploma or degree
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment and to multi-task
  • Highly organized exhibiting a high sense of ownership and can-do attitude
  • A talent for solving problems and implementing solutions
  • Computer skills (Excel, ERP or automated WMS Warehouse Systems a plus)
  • Forklift license an asset
