Job Description

Denver Property Restoration is looking to hire a new member to our team. We are a 24-hour emergency response company, with our focus on the restoration of fire, flood, wind damage, sewer backups and site remediation properties within Winnipeg and remote communities. We pride ourselves on helping to restore a home or business to its pre-loss condition and strive to maintain a reputation for excellent work and customer service.

 

We are looking for a customer-focused, hardworking individual with a can do attitude, and willingness to learn and grow. As Drywaller / Painter, you will installing drywall (tape and mud) and painting. We are seeking an individual with a strong work ethic, who is willing to be trained, and is motivated to do things correctly and effectively.

 

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Uses precise measurements to install drywall. Allows for the accommodation of electrical outlets, plumbing, related mechanical returns.
  • Reads specifications to determine method of installation.
  • Follows the specific instructions in terms of style, colour and finish.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work site, ensures that COR policies and procedures are followed.
  • Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Updates all parties involved relative to work progress: photos, e-mail correspondence etc.
  • Ensures project requirements are being fulfilled and deadlines are achieved.Requirements:

  • Flexibility - ability to work outside of Winnipeg, on remote properties for extended periods of time, participate on the on call rotation.
  • Minimum 3 year’s experience drywalling and painting.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba drivers’ license and able to provide security clearance and child abuse registry (required).
  • Experience with power and non-power tools; own tools required.
  • Understanding of residential building codes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • CSA steel toe footwear and headwear must be worn at all times when on job sites or in the warehouse
