The Financial Compliance team develops, plans and performs a broad range of projects designed to assess independent service providers’ compliance with CLBC’s contractual and reporting requirements and to monitor the operation of internal financial controls.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Compliance, the Senior Compliance Auditor conducting service provider contract accountability and compliance audits and in monitoring the operation of CLBC’s internal control over financial reporting. Other duties include:
This role works collaboratively and proactively within both the Financial Compliance team and the larger Finance Division, applying sound and consistent judgement throughout the duties and accountabilities of the position.
The ideal applicant is highly analytical; has superior written and verbal communication skills; a proven ability to interact with all levels of management; exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments; strong attention to detail; the ability to work independently to completed assigned tasks; is focused, highly motivated and results orientated; has a strong ability to multi-tasks and perform under pressure and within strict timelines in a fast paced environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA); Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification or equivalent would be an asset, and a minimum of 3 years of closely related work experience, preferably as an auditor or conducting compliance monitoring and testing. Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.
Travel: Travel as required, approximately 50% of the time, throughout BC. Transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements of CLBC.
Classification/Salary: Financial Officer R27 / Starts at $67,418 annually, plus a market adjustment of 6.6% bi-weekly.
