You love everything design related and are comfortable designing in a multitude of mediums. You are not afraid to break the rules a little to deliver outstanding work. You are able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, website elements, and other designs. You have a solid grasp of modern marketing and are always looking at the horizon to spot trends and new techniques. You create awesome illustrations.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with online team to conceptualize and prototype interface functionality, look and feel for the design
  • Develop a variety of creative projects, including presentations, brochures, advertisements, catalogs, direct mail, corporate identity, packaging and web/mobile sites
  • Work with the team to define and maintain the brand integrity of the website, covering all of the flow, layout and interactions
  • Work with conceptual wireframes, user flow diagrams, and high-fidelity prototypes to solidify design direction and plans
  • Apply and maintain a consistent art style throughout the entire project interface
  • Communicate designs in a technical manner for developer implementation
  • Work with web developer to ensure the implementation matches the intention
  • Research trends to keep the team on the leading-edge of new design techniques and tools

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ progressive working experience of UI design and/or graphic design
  • Degree in Design (Communications Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design) or equivalent
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Bonus: Experience with Animate and After Effects
  • Fundamental understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Experience using a CMS
  • Excellent eye for color, shape, and composition
  • Confident in ability to create professional iconography and information visualizations
  • Understanding of the website development process
  • Demonstrable success in applying design principles to achieve innovative results from concept to final form
  • Solid typography and presentation skills
