Position Overview:

We are currently looking for Technicians to work closely with our technical team, learning the efficient and safe operation of plastic injection molding machines and robotic work cells.   Duties will include operating, trouble-shooting, diagnosing, and conducting repairs as necessary.  The successful candidate will learn the fundamentals of plastic and metal processing in a fast-paced, hands-on lean manufacturing environment. We are a growing company with opportunities for advancement.                                                                                                                                                           


  • Meet appropriate production goals (e.g. internal quality, overall equipment effectiveness, and schedule attainment targets).
  • Start-up/shut down and operate machines, automation equipment and auxiliary equipment. Change stamping press reels, cut “slugs” and strip membrane parts as required.
  • Check safety systems every time equipment is started up and report any safety malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all ERP production and scrap reporting is completed at the end of every shift.
  • Ensure all PM and quality checks are performed on time and documented.
  • Troubleshoot the equipment in order to produce a product which meets the quality standards required by the Q.A department.
  • Communicate effectively with the previous and following shift technician on production status.
  • Follow standard parameters sheets for tooling and machine set up, make note of eventual changes made in the log book and make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Always ensure that trial, troubleshooting or scrap/start parts are identified and segregated from regular production parts.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in a related field of study is an asset
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility is an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Able to work a rotating continental shift schedule
