Job Description

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Parts Advisor is responsible for performing an array of functions that will include managing parts inventory, accepting and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.


  • Opens and maintain all work orders –pick all parts, input labour, outside vendor invoices
  • Create, receive, stock all PO’s from factories and distributors
  • Create, ship/receive all branch transfers
  • Take customer calls (parts as well as service when needed)
  • Order all supplies for mechanics
  • Assist mechanics with parts needed to complete work orders
  • Process and create all warranty claims for corresponding factories – coordinate warranty parts return
  • Process, print and distribute all part and work order invoices
  • Inputs, pick, ships all parts orders, as required
  • Provide superior internal and external service to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Other tasks as required by the business


  • Previous experience in an heavy equipment, truck or automotive related industry in a parts related position
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Parts Journeyman Technician or technical equivalent an asset
  • Monday to Friday, days - additional working hours may be required on occasion
  • Bilingual in French and English considered an asset
  • Warehouse and logistics experience considered an asset
  • Due to the nature of this position, there is some occasional heavy lifting
