Royal Inland Hospital is seeking to build its Clinical Dietitian team at Royal Inland Hospital and is looking to hire new Casual team members.
Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Days and shifts may vary with hours 08:00 to 16:00. Once hired into a casual position, employees become eligible to apply internal on relief and permanent positions as they become vacant. Upon completion of 180 hours in Casual employment, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans.
The Clinical Dietitian is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides nutrition care and support to patients and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures. Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Clinical Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
The Clinical Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program. The Clinical Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/resident care issues and menu development.

• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program.
• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Valid BC Driver’s License.
• Restricted Acts A (Enteral Nutrition), B (Parenteral Nutrition) and C (Instillation through Enternal) are an asset.
