Since 1982, The Canadian Deafblind Association-NB Inc. (CDBA-NB) has been involved in providing support and services to individuals who are deafblind, deaf or blind with associated disabilities and their families throughout New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. CDBA-NB is governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time and expertise to establish policy and direction for the organization. The day to day operation of the organization is developed and supervised by a strong and capable management team, under the direction of the Executive Director. Intervention services are provided by our staff of more than thirty Intervenors.
People who have sight and hearing difficulties face huge challenges every day.
CDBA-NB helps people of all ages and with a wide range of complex difficulties. And as people's needs have changed, so CDBA-NB has adapted to meet those needs, offering quality services that place the individual, and their family, at the heart of all that we do.
Who do we help?
* Some people will be deaf and blind; many others will have some sight and/or hearing that they can make use of.
* Many will have other difficulties to cope with. They may have physical disabilities, learning difficulties, experience delays in learning, or have challenging behavior.
* We also support people with a sight or hearing impairment and additional disabilities.
