We specialize in infrastructure maintenance, contracting, construction, technology R&D, manufacturing and other heavy-duty equipment operations. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Traffic Control & Paint Crew Supervisor plays an essential role in project execution, who shall have authority to respond to traffic control requirements and shall perform the duties of the Traffic Control Supervisor, in accordance with Project requirements. Competitive salary and benefits Bonus eligibility Company truck Company cell phone Opportunity for learning and growth Your main responsibilities include: Directing all traffic control operations on the Site and coordinating with other contractors working on the Project. Maintaining direct line authority over all of Project Co’s traffic control personnel and procedures on the Site. Liaising with the City, TTC, the Contracting Authority and MTO, as required. Recording the actual duration of lane closures, full closures, detours and lane shifts and unauthorized traffic delays and forwarding this information, on a daily basis, to the Contracting Authority for information and appropriate action. Responding to traffic-related incidents resulting from construction activities and traffic management activities. All major incidents shall be documented within 48 hours of the incident and provided to the Contracting Authority and the City. Documenting traffic control measures and activities in accordance with Overseeing all requirements of this Project Agreement that contribute to the safety, convenience, and orderly movement of vehicular, cycling and pedestrian traffic. What you bring to table: 5+ years’ experience in road construction; experience in traffic control is a definite asset. Mainly experienced in highway operations. 5+ years’ Supervisory experience working in traffic supervision. Knowledge of traffic best practices, traffic regulations, and conditions is required; Book 7 training will be an asset. Valid "G" Driver's License is required. Commitment to health and safety and experience with site inspections and reporting. Flexibility to work rotating shifts including days, nights; on-call weekends. Ability and willingness to work overtime. Strong communication skills oral, written and read Excellent approach to customer service Positive and strong leadership and problem-solving skills Computer literate and comfortable using technology.
